Mathematics and Science Provide The Basis of Solving Modern Day Problems. Mathematics and science play a very important role in the lite of every alert citizen. It is with the aid of extended work in these fields of study that modern life progresses, General mathematics, algebra, geometry, advanced algebra, and trigonometry are offered for students desiring to major in mathematics. In this era of great scientific de- velopment the study of science is valuable. General science, biology, physics and chemistry may be selected by the students. A general math class. Equations test the skill of algebra students. A trig class listens to the explanation. A biology class hears a report by a class- YT15le. Physics students study about light.

Social Science Gives Oportunity to Study world Conditions. The students have an opportunity to study government and the history ot the present in the light ot the past in the different history courses which are offered. Ancient and medieval, modern European, and world history are offered to any who desire them, while every student must take U. S. history. Civics, economics, social problems, and indus- trial geography are additional courses tor students interested in the social sciences. A modern European history class. A world history class. Languages Give Invaluable Culture. Through the study of Latin and French the students gain a rich cultural back- ground which enables them to appreciate the classics and gain a greater and a lasting value from these languages. Two years ot Latin and two years ot French are offered. Students in Latin I do oral translations French l students work on grammar
