“Onward Christian Soldiers” Religion Classes Part of the training to develop a more fully understanding and open-minded student body is the excellent religious instruction that many have received during the greater part of the school year. On March 26, 1948, in accordance with the Supreme Court ruling which now prohibits religious education in public schools, the classes were discontinued. These classes, which were not compulsory, were taught to Protestant and Catholics by one Protestant Minister and six Catholic Priests. The course was held every Friday during the activity period.
