ART CLUB The thought of Art Club on Wednesday afternoon carries many a student through the hardships of the academic day. After school fifteen or twenty of these aspiring artists gather in the Art Room to express their ideas in any reasonable medium their fancies lead them to; whenever they run into difficulties, Mrs. Fox is ready to give friendly advice and constructive criticism. Three dimensional work is done in a wide range of materials from beans and toothpicks to papier mache — very popular even if a little messy — and clay fired in our own school kiln. Attractive murals and pictures are produced, using water colours, pastels, oil, India ink, and cut paper. Enjoyment and creativity are the dual — and realized — objectives of the Art Club. 24
