aw LOADING THE TRUNK, Anc members prepare to deliver goods to needy family at Thanksgiving. J r' Loyal to the Anchor Club Creed, members Were PACKING THE GCCDS Realizing that in unity there is strength begins the Anchor Club Creed. An affiliate of the Roanoke Valley Pilot Club, the Anchor Club members committed themselves to work together in friendship and loyalty and to provide service to their homes, school, and communi- ties. Busy with traditional activities, members continued to be busy with visits to the Carolina Rest Home. A special visit delivered cheer to the residents on Grandparents' Day. Sponsoring a needy family at Thanksgiving allowed member participation in collecting goods. In addition, the members who presented the collected items dis- covered harsh realities with their visits, fortunately, they also were inspired and were made more appreciative. Attendance at the Freedom Foundation in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, granted quite an ex- perience for Chris Phillips, Aimee Phillips, and Jennifer Allen. Likewise, Titian Quincy and K Montealegre benefitted from workshop at Peace College. Of course, fundraising was necessity. Members distinguisl themselves with the const companionship of boxes Sweettarts and Sprees. T members promoted their organ tion by particicpating in Club W at Becker Village Mall. When was completed, the channels achievement had led the memi to the port of success.
