When asked why she likes to dance, she replied, L'With a challenge such as dance, I can set my goals and further pursue them. She plans to pursue dancing as a career and would like to attend the School of Arts or the University of North Carolina or some other university and major in dance and something else. She comments, I do plan for dance to play a strong part of my life in the future. She has had many experiences but says her most memorable one was injuly 1985. My partner and I took a first place trophy home. It meant so much to us because we had worked so many hours in sweat and pain. She also adds that practice makes perfect and perfec- tion is what she is striving for. AN EXPRESSION OF LIVING ART characterizes Michelle Allen and her award-winning talents for dancing.
