THE POWER OF LO A recent survey of teachers across the country found that teachers are a dedicated group of professionals who are anxious to improve the educational system. Most significantly, however, the survey revealed that the love of teaching is a powerful inducement to teachers and is probably the dominant feeling that keeps them in their jobs. The poll also found that teachers face a multitude of frustrations. Nationally, 96 percent said they love teaching and 91 percent rate their schools as ex- cellent or goodg however, only 47 percent think teachers are respected by society.
