All pages were printed on embossed paper which was trimmed to 73!4 x 1016 long bound. The majority of the book's type was selected from the Baskerville type family with other types used for special effects. The cover of lexotone base material with black as the base color and yellow and green as silk-screened colors was a design concept of the staff and was produced by Hunter artist Mickey McCay. The printed endsheets were designed by the staff. Student and teacher portraits were done by David Stallings of Durham, North Carolina. Produced by a nineteen-member staff that was directed by Rodney C. Nelson, the 1986 Voyager was a 390-copy run with publication deadlines of November l, l985g December 2, l985g and February 10, 1986.
