On nse, he gained more yards than any other back. That was 581 yards in 90 carries! He able to do this with two injured ankles. Wasn't this a true mark of greatness? on Spragins, co-captain on the 1975 Vikings' team, played in the position Middle- backer on defense and Fullback on the offensive squad. He made All-CAC last season did it again this year due to his aggressive play and leadership ability. Don will be grad- ng this year and his performance on the gridiron will be greatly missed. ommy Jones is the only player from Halifax ever to make All-CAC in his first season of . To be a strong and tough competitor, a lineman must be able to block open up the hole in the defensive line to enable the backs to get their yardage. A line- is a team player and Mike Inabinett is just that. reg Nelson is the second lineman to make All-CAC from Halifax. His play was always '76 on both offense and defense. The Halifax Academy Varsity Boys finished the '75J- season with a 10-4 conference record and became the runn up in the regular season championship. The Vikings once displayed teamwork, team spirit, determination to win, an around athletic ability. The team ran many defensive and offensive sets. Many players made the bench very strong this year. Quentin Gre was high scorer for the team. Dean Edwards had the hig shooting percentage from the floor. Don Spragins and Nelson served as excellent centers for the team. Dale Con and Gene Cobb were fine ball-handlers. Mike lVlcGreevy wa hot shooter from the outside. Coach George Alston is to be congratulated on his succes: season.
