Social Studies A poll of the various Social Studies classes was taken dealing with the question, What is Social Studies?l' The results were a number of opinions and definitions. It seems that the majority felt that Social Studies varies according to the time spent delving into it. Some of the observations were: Social Studies is a semi-mathematical, objective analysis of past eventsg it is an interpretation of events and their reaction on the growth of a nationg and a prevalent view was that it is learning how not to make the same mistakes. Mr. Morris emphasises a biblical theory in philosophy class. -JOHN TREE DONALD BRASOR MERLE CHANG Chairman A.B., M.A. B.A., M.A., Criminaljustice B.A., M.S. . ...as Wm , if g f: . an J ANTHONY CUZZUCOLI LOUIS DiBLASI ANTHONY DiCERBO B.A., M.A. B.A. Varsi LaCrosse B.A. M.S. , f 4 N Q 'Ai K V. f , . .:., ' , . Science Curiosity, which often afflicts the best of us, was the underlying force that gave us our present-day science. In earlier days, a curious man was looked upon with suspicious eyes. After all, why be the killjoy? Why ask why something occurs? Isn't it enough that it does occur? However, a scientist wouldnlt be a convincingly real scientist if he werenlt curious. Ask a question. It may be the beginning of a new career. X V ' Wi f5:H,', i'fW ' fif fi iislflffi 1.,4 4' DORIS BORGES B.A., M,A..
