DEDICATED TO . . MARTHA G. TAYLOR No student at Haleyville High School who has known Mrs. Martha Taylor can ever forget the person to whom we are dedicating the 1965 HAVALA. Her name has become synony- mous with the traditions of the school. Her unfaltering desire to assist, to encourage, and to guide the students at HHS has brightened the day of all around her. A devoted teacher, a wise counselor, and the person to whom many students turn for advice and encouragement - - the person who has put first above all things Haleyville High School and the students within it. The 1965 Havala Staff proudly and respectfully dedicates this yearbook to MRS. MARTHA G. TAYLOR - - whom we shall always remember as MISS BIOLOGY of HHS,

TT FOREWORD As the daily routine of campus life moves forward, each stu- dent plans and sets his goals. He strives day by day to meet his ideals and soon finds him- self closer to graduation and the realization of his final objective. He realizes that the attainment of his major goals has been made possible through the emphasis upon daily goals such as lead- ership, scholarship, sportsmanship, and the development of per- sonality. Each of these has been gained through his classes, organiza- tions, and the many events which have thus prepared him for serv- ice to his community and to mankind. Realizing the importance of the mentioned goals they have been presented in the 1965 Havala so that they will receive their worth in future years. Li
