The winners ' pictures remained in a sealed envelope in the school safe until the night of April 21, 1961, at the Junior-Senior Prom. Frances, and Lmda who were an hour late . . . Governor Howell was really moblxd by his fans, the Girl Scouts . The tour of downtown New York was very exciting and seeing the parade from the F.mpirc State Building was an experience we won t ever forget . . . Junior Howell became everyone ' s friend at the United Nations building . . . Chinatown was a swell place, wasn ' t it? ... The No Doz company really made a profit off us, didn ' t they? . . . For some reason the New Yorkers couldn ' t quite under- stand Wendell Cummings ' Rebel yell . . . And we all remember the nice chapcroncs we had.
