.Z J whbk-L Cheaper By The Do en The Senior Class of Hale High School chose Cheaper By The Dozen as the year s Senior Class play This play was dramatized by Perry Clark from the famous novel Cheaper By The Dozen and it is especially popular in high school dramatic circles The original story was written by Frank B Gilbreth Jr and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey The play was most capably di rected by Mrs Faire D Potter of the faculty George Maclver and Eleanor Warren as Mr and Mrs Gilbreth headed the cast assisted by Elmabeth Linden Daniel Woodhead Susan Sewall Ray Crue William Whitney John Peck Catherine Vodoklys Carol Wetherbee and Jane Colby who played the parts of the Gilbreth s child ren Edward Jensen was Larry the special boy friend Sylvia Wanhatalo had the part of Mrs Fitzgerald the housekeeper while Donald Freeman appeared as Doctor Burton Eleanor Peck portrayed Miss Brill the old maid schoolteacher David Crowell took the part of Joe Scales the cheerleader Honey was the real live dog The following committees were appointed Properties and lighting Mary Erkkiien llelen DiP1etro Vivian Brown costumes Eleanor Cameron Myrtle Pugsley Ann Herrick vickets and adxertising Loretta Goucher and Audrey Law Under the direction of Mr. Ippolito music supervisor several musical selections were 1:1615 - ed by a section of the school s band made up of underclassmen. Mr, and Mrs Potter made -up the young people. lhe Senior Class wishes to extend its gratitude to the faculty and underclassmen who helped make lhis play such a success.
