Hale Faculty The industrial arts and vocational departments provide students with practical oppor- tunities to explore various Vocational interests. Mr. Joe Large directs this department. The math department now offers several advanced classes in addition to the generally accepted high school math courses. Mr. Richard Johnston is the director. The science department, headed by Miss Davida Phillips, also offers advanced classes with expectations of more in the future. ln the physical education department. Mr. Woodrow West and Miss Sandra Wilson share responsibilities in holding the keys to good health and sound physical bodies. In the boys' department football, basketball, swimming, wrestling, and track are offered for training in competitive sports. The girls, on the other hand, do not take part in competitiong but they are taught modern dance volleyball, hockey, baseball and swimming in class, and two of the classes take bowling lessons once a week during class time. Mr. Clarence Lawless, instrumental music director, and Mr. David Robbins, vocal music director, have developed many fine musicians in their specific areas.
