All members of Ag. VO. AG. AND F. F. A HAMILTON HEADS AT LEFT: Mr. T.B. Hamilton, Vocational Ag. teach- er, is a graduate of Texas Tech with a Smith- Hughes certificate. For four years in this de- partment he has proved to be very efficient and hard working as is proved by the many and varied activities which he sponsors. Jimmy Carver, at left, is the president of the local chapter. AT RIGHT: Silas Short, senior, and Don Conner, jun- ior, representatives to the National F. F.A. convention at Kansas City, Missouri. This is the second year that Hale Center has sent del- egates to the National Convention for F. F.A. classes must choose a project such as, Stock, Poultry, or Crop Rais- ing. In the Spring comes the high light of the year when the department sponsors a Project Show and Bar -b -que . At this show proje c t s are displayed, judged, and the stock is sold. The chapter is especially interested in the Leadership Con- tests. T r ainin g in leadership has won Lone Star Degrees for eight boys. This year five are applying for this deg r ee. One boy is applying for the Degree of American Farmer. This year at the annual district Future Farmers of America Contest, one team won first place honors and another In the finals one team won third. The judging contests att r ac t many boys, who try out for teams in Soil Judging, Livestock Judging, Dairy Cattle Judging, Meat Judging, Tractor Driving, and the A gronom y Contests. Le ade rship won fourth. AT LEFT: Leon Douglas, Durwood Hart, and Jimmy Kemp. This team won first place and third place honors in the Radio Broadcasting Contests in Area I Leadership Contest. r
