N ' Q95 3 iQ f gg, M a Z- if Superintenheni To the Seniors of 1955, I extend my hearty Congratulations for your contribution to the Haigler High School in the past. forward to As I write this, I think of a group of seniors who were looking their graduation at Haigler High School twenty-two years ago. I am sure that we could hardly wait until The Big Day. At the end we all felt that the year had ended too soon If you were to talk to any of that group, no doubt they would have many fond memories to share with you. I am looking forward to the balance of this year in the hope that you will continue to contribute much of value to H. H S. and thatyour Alma Mater will hold much that you will treasure in the years to come. As you face the future we hope that, through opportunities made possible by your school, you will be successful in every worthwhile venture you undertake. Perhaps you would do well to adopt as your motto or way of life the Golden Rule. your efforts and the 'Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.' ,J 1 fl' V 'lif 'ff' X! They were Russell Hoover, Tom Wheaton, Frank Novak, David Sims, Mary Sharp, Lucille Schwartz, Almeda Bier, Helen Novak, Mrytle Sayer, Pearlene Workman, Fauniel Bragg,Kaye Andres, Charlotte Sayer, Gwen Scrivner, Mildred Workman, Shirley Potthoff, Elmer Wilkening, Velma Oster, and Eddy Collins. Our teachers were: W. P. Kriemelmeyer, End Northup, and Betty Jo Potts. Mr. Northup was our sponsor. When we went back to school next fall, Helen and Frank Novak were not with us. Our teachers were Mr. and Mrs. Kriemelmeyer and Fred Northup. Mrs. Kriemelmeyer was our spon- sor. In our junior year Velda Montgomery, Mae Erdman, and Bill Sanner joined our class, but we lost Mildred Workman. On November Zh, 1953 we g e our play nThe Hoodoou. We received our class rim? in November also. We gave our banquet the 29th of April with the theme of Hawaiin Cruise. Our teachers that year were Mr. and Mrs. San- ner and Dale Reckard. Mrs. Sanner was our sponsor, This year, our last, Bill Sanner and Myrtle and Charlotte Saver weren't with us, leaving six- teen in the class. The highlight of the year was the 'senior sneaku which was enjoyed by all. Our teachers are J. S. Catlett, Ida Johnson, L. L. Everett, and Bernal Carter. Mr. Catlett is our sponsor. Baccalaureate services were held Sunday, May 15, 1955. Commencement exercises were held Tues- day, May 17, 1955. Colors: Silver and Salmon Flower: Rose Motto: Purpose: Achievement .le-3-E-fi 'i'-'E-e.-all Qlass poem Now our joys of school are past We're through this process of learning. We hope you'll remember this Senior Class, As we will this school--In our yearning. Now first in line comes Eddy A kid you'd like to meet In any kind of sport you'll find, He simply can't be beat. Velma, an active member of our class, Has led a small town life. When she gets out of school, She'1l settle down to be a housewife. Elmer is a bashful guy. He thinks school is quite a bore: He'd rather drive his pick-up, Or stay home and do the chores. Almeda and her little auto, Have this famous motto: 'I can live without poetry or walking, But who in the world can live without talking Another member of our class, Wished a stenographer to be. But Fauniel, that sparkler on your hand, Has changed your mind we see. Kaye, the friendliest of our group, Always cracking a joke is she. Her persond.ity will take her far, No matter where she may be. Tom ambles by Deliberate as can be He's gone through school and done his best Since the days of a, b, c. Pearline is a quieter person, Her names' on the Honor Rollg Just in case you haven't heard, To be an artist is her goal. Now Russell thinks he's woman proof. But someday he'll find his head in a whirl And then he'll have to start building a roof For some good looking girl. Mae another member of our class, So friendly and so true. And if you look at her just right, She is sure to smile at you. All at once the silence is broken. What?--Guess, you know, It's Shirley, the mischievous cut up. She is always on the go. A feeling of sadness and sorrow, Is never in our classroom. As long as we have David To take away the gloom. Mary is an ambitious gal, A lady rancher she will someday be. She'd rather have a palomino for a pal, Than a fellow says she???????? Gwen is a likeable girl, So full of pep and fun. What are her plans for the future? Your guess is as good as any ones. Lucille is a quiet lass On that we all agree. But who knows if this is true, When there is none of us to see. Vglig is the last in line Listen to her famous rhyme: 'Life is easy smooth and slow, Do what comes and let the rest go. The HAIGLER NEWS SERVING HAIGLER AND DUNDY cormry may 17, 1965 LOCALS The Haigler News has given Fauniel Bragg the title of uHeroine of Western Nebraskau. For years she experimented with rainmakers and just last week, her efforts have been awarded. Her latest invention has been proven successful. Gone forever are the duststorms with which we are all so familiar. Fauniel now is planning to take a world tour and spend a few of her millions. Mae Erdman, world renowned movie critic, has inet edited a book, the title of which is NA Decade of Oscarsn. tis her very exclusive views on the acadamey award winning movies of the last ten years. A copy of this book has been purchased for the Haigler High School library, using the money which was collected from overdue books from the years l95l-1955. Kaye Andres, famed psychiatrist, is touring the world giving lectures on her recent observations. She found that the brain of a duck can be exchanged with the brain of a human. The only difference is in the manner of speech. She says this discovery led to the launching of the new movie series: Donald, the talk- ing Duck. A blueprint for the new Haigler High School building will appear in next week's News. Dave Sims, architect from Denver, Colo., states that construction will begin in August. The architect attended H. H. S. and thus is aware of the great need for the building. Almeda Bier has just set up her agency in Chicago. She is now marriage counselor with a thriving business. Many of her former classmates remember her a solving their problems while in H. H. S. When asked about her marital status she says Uno dicen, but knowing Almeda, we wonderkll There will undoubtedly be a large crowd from Haiglerattending the ranch sale north of town next week. nEverything goes,N said Mary Sharp, the young owner and proprietor who has made a name for herself in the cattle industry. She has been offered a contract by the Powers Model Agency in New York and will try her luck in this profession for awhile. Knowing Mary, we know that she will succeed. Friends of Russell Hoover will be glad to hear that he will appear on TV tonight over Channel 6. He is to be awarded a trophy for being not only the fastest, but the safest hot-rod driver in the history of racing. Surely everyone in the vicinity of Haigler remembers how he terrorized the predestrians in his hot rods during his high-school days. Elmer Wilkining, the bashful boy of the classof '55 has been granted a great promotion in the nCharles of the Ritzh cosmetic Co. in London. He is now the only lipstick tester in the world who has kissed 9,999 women in one year. We now here that Mdse. Pearline Workman, artlst of world fame, is making a tour of the universe. Many of her former classmates and friends will go to Denver June lst, where she will show her display of paintings entitledCThe Lost Paint Brush.l Thomas Wheaton, former resident of Haigler, is now making his home at Waikiki Beach, Hawaii. He is now employed as a beach- wear photographer. It is rumored that there are 5 women for every man at Waikiki this season. He will undoubtedly be a very busy man. Gwen Scrivner, established lady lawyer practicingin New York, has moved to a new location. Her office is now ln the Empire State Building. She is running a thriving business, with 951 of her clients being men. She is still single and plans a short vacation in Haigler soon. nYes, in a very short time, men from Mars willbe stalking the earthn. This is the prediction made by Velda Montgomery, astronomer of world fame. She has been making experiments on animal and vegetable life on the planets. The new song hit of the season is the work of that famous composer of hit tunes, Lucille Schwartz. The catchy, snatchy little title, is, nGilly on the bank of the nDella-wearu pink stood George Weshingmachlne With His Bones-Apartu. Madame Velma Lee Clegg, world's foremost designer of cats' clothing, announces that she will enter the field of designing for men and womens' space suits next fall. She predicts that her styles will set the pace for the world. A motorless automobile has been invented. Patent no. PAT has been issued to Eddy Collins. This brilliant scientist states that the plans for this invention were drawn while he was a student at H. H. S. Word has been received here that Shirley Potthoff, famed Metropolitan opera star who formerly lived here, will give a broadcast tonight over the station I-K-E. She will sing UI Attico Aparenchl Tutte Enonni?n cwho threw the Ovgpalls in Mistress Murphy's Chowderl. 5 JUNf0f?y 4 W 4 ? 41 IAQ PA Q X w o '1' 9 Junior' 6:12155 Alice Beeson Rex Tracy Ruth Sims Larry Collins Carol Stute Norvin Vice Pres Secretary Alfreda Stute Lianold Kinnett ...Carol Stute President. ....Phtty Wall .Barbara Dexter Treasurer...A1ice Beeson Barbara Dexter 5 Quan? .
