Your yearbook is a timeslice of your activities at Hahnemann and only a small component of what a lU'etime of learning and service can grow to be. Use this horizon as afoundation to enlarge your awareness ofper- sons, ideas, and places. This should be the order ofimportance as you seek to understand how you can contribute to improving the quality of your own lU'e and the lives ofthose you will meet. Always remember to listen and be flexible so that you can adjust to the changes We will id impose. Couple these attributes with dedication, direction, and determination and you will experience thejoys ofachievement and virtually unlimited horizons in your personal and professional growth. The award also looks at the recipientls other contribu- tions such as service to the college and other related activities. The 1983 award was given to Miss Harting of the Medical Technology program. The students of the School ofAllied Health and the staffofHorizons yearbook would like to congratulate Miss Harting on receiving this honor. 42f.. 6 ...l GY.. ' To say Miss Harting exempldiesa good teacher would smack of impertinence. She is a great lady, skilled practition- er, a dedicated teacher and professional, a friend to all stu- dents and colleagues, a legend in her own time and one of Hahnemann's most respected and truely loved family mem- bers. Associate Dean Schlosser It is dUfficult to annotate the accomplishments and strong positive influence that Miss Harting has made on the faculty. We see the respect she engenders from her students and fel- low members ofHahnemann and the community. We know that through her unsebfishness and devotion to her own pro- fessional growth she has been and will continue to be the ex- ample that we all will be measured against.
