DEDICATION Time has marched on, and with it we have experienced many new medical developments. Little did we know when we first entered our chosen field, that we would one day see the arrival of a vaccine for polio; nor did we foresee the great advancement in the field of chest surgery. Day after day we would find new wonder drugs in our medicine closets. These vast achievements made in medicine are the results of the hard work of many people, some of whom will never receive recognition for their part. To them and the progress of medi- cine we wish to dedicate this edition of the VIGIL.
