J proudly dedicate this book to: Here I am at the end of three years of training. In the following pages I shall take you through every day, telling you all the wee incidents effecting my days in nursing school. Following the laws of cause and effect, I have told you the result, now I shall reveal the cause. Who inspired me to reach for higher goals? As a sculptor molds clay into a finished piece of art, so I was molded as a child and guided into ' the paths of happiness. These reveal by love and kindness that the greatest happiness in life comes from helping others. Yes, who dear diary, inspired me through training? Who brushed away my tears of disappointment, surplanting laughter, new hope, and confidence to go on in my adventure to secure happiness? Who stood the expense of my adventure asking nothing in return? Yes, dear diary, the only two people in the world who would be willing to pay such a price — my mother and father. Mother and father, I dedicate this diary as a product of the result of your work. I want you to know that I realize what ever I am or shall be I owe to you.

w (fMy example Three years passed already? Already! Have they been worthwhile? That question will be best answered by the way the coming years are spent. Those who have put the greatest effort into their training have gotten the most out of their training. Those who put the most into their graduate work will also profit the most therefrom. The standards of the profession depend upon each graduate. To you, our graduates, who have pledged yourselves to elevate the standards of the profession, our very best wishes for your success and happiness. We look to you to carry on the fine principles, techniques, morals and ideals for which Hahnemann School of Nursing stands. We know we shall be proud of your accomplishments.
