Weather Thwarts Outdoor Commencement Plans For the first time in the history of HHS an out- door setting was planned for Commencement. Yet as graduation day approached, a steady rain forced the ceremony indoors. The gym was decorated in green and gold, harmonizing with the boys ' green robes and white robes worn by the girls. Yellow roses were carried by the girls at baccalaureate. In place of a guest speaker, two members of the graduating class gave the Commencement addresses. Three school board members, who had students in the 1968 graduation class, distributed diplomas. Horace Smith, con- gratulates Carol Williamson as class sponsor Olene Veach looks on. Alb um As a yearbook becomes older, its album section becomes more interesting. People have always been amused to see how different someone looked when he was younger. Yet, for some reason, they still have been able to recognize him. Seeing those familiar faces has revived memories and has made that school year come alive once again. The senior class of 1968. 27
