Weather Thwarts Outdoor Commencement Plans For the first time in the history of HHS an out- door setting was planned for Commencement. Yet as graduation day approached, a steady rain forced the ceremony indoors. The gym was decorated in green and gold, harmonizing with the boys ' green robes and white robes worn by the girls. Yellow roses were carried by the girls at baccalaureate. In place of a guest speaker, two members of the graduating class gave the Commencement addresses. Three school board members, who had students in the 1968 graduation class, distributed diplomas. Horace Smith, con- gratulates Carol Williamson as class sponsor Olene Veach looks on.
