CLEAN SPEECHQ CLEAN SPORTSQ CLEAN SCHOLARSHIPg CLEAN LIVING The purpose of the Hi-Y is to create, maintain, and extend throughout their homes, school, and community high standards of Christian character. The Hi-Y has done many useful things for our school and campus this year, under the leadership of Roy Johnson and the sponsorship of Mr. Nichols. Thev have painted and placed trash barrels around the school grounds. A new sign hoard was made for the basketball schedule in front of the Gym, and one for the inside giving the names and numbers of the players. During the basketball games this season they sponsored a coat and hat check to raise money for World Service, and to bring in the New Year of 1954 they held a big New Yearis dance in the Gym. The yearly activities of the Hi-Y club ended with the Father and Son Banquet in March. Page Thirty-fine ley, M. Timmons, R. johnson, H. La- Y-TEENS We the younger generation are striving to build a better world-peace and unity, freedom and brotherhood, these We have set to be our goals. The purpose of this Christian organization is to give each girl an opportunity to develop spiritually, mentally, physically, and socially, and to boost all worth- while school and community activities. One of this year's service projects was a Christmas program given at the County lnfirmary. A large basket of fruit, donated by all the club members, was taken along to put under their Christmas tree.
