7all Action We were proud of Kim Neddo being our Lake Lu- zerne Fall Festival Queen. Despite plenty of wet weather Kim never let her spirit get dampened as she presided over all activities for two weekends. Mr. Roach's Industrial Arts classes constructed a leanto that could be split into sections and then the seniors later auctioned it off. Freaky Friday was sponsored by the Honor Society and representatives from each high school class competed for the title of Mr and Mrs Ghoul. Votes cost the voter a donation to the Leukemia drive. Our day to day activities include classes, visits, projects, study hall and general learning. Be- cause of dedicated teachers and concerned staff we are able to really learn the basic needs for life and also able to step out with special activities as shown on the pages ahead.

Beginning in the Fall and continuing all year, twice every five weeks HLCS had a five minute newspro- gram on WRGB in Schenectady. Student Spectrum was a student look at happenings in the district. The first program of the series this year featured Kim Neddo, Bill Smith, Carol Harris and Karen Reynolds. Simone Lorraine Madeline Russo Gigi Gereau Blue and White Day was a day to raise Spirit at H-L and along with it many eyebrows as stu- dents dressed up for the occasion. One of the Fall attractions was a Mexican red legged tarantula brought in by Bruce Werley and kept in the Biology room dur- ing the year.
