This is Mrs. Sullivan's last year at HLCS but even after she leaves she will be long remembered for her dedication, concern, and service to the entire student body. Mr. Zimmermann was not only a help to us scholastically but also personally. He always seems to have a smile and an encouraging Word when things get a bit rough. Many thanks and appreciation. 2 Table Of Contents Admlnlstrauon and Faculty Page 5 Student Llfe Page 21 Page 33 Page 53 Page 63 Page 75 Page 91 Adverusers Page 101 M luwj' This is a great place to learn, a great place to Work, a great place to be. Did We say place? It's much more . . much more than bricks and mortar, classrooms and media centers, cafeterias and gyms. lt's people. lt's you. You ARE what makes Hadley Luzerne Central school great. ln these pages that follow we have tried to give you a flavor of the people Cstudents, teachers, staff, parents, interested citi- zensj who have been a big part of 1976-77. The 112 pages in this hard cover book take a look at September through January. An 8 page supplement which fits into the rear of the book covers February through June, thus a complete school year. Who are we? What are some of the things we do? Read on. Throughout our lives you have given of yourselves freely. And We have taken, not giving much in return. You are the ones that have brought us from childhood dreams, to life's realities. For those things and many more, we will remember forever. As the years go by, and the memories pile up, yours will burn forever, like an ember that never dies. High school industrial arts classes mechanical drawing classes, home economic classes, art classes and even kindegarten classes all got ideas flowing together to construct a chalet playhouse outside the kin- degarten building. Student Council met regularly to help plan activi- ties for the students as well as for the community. Students at all grade levels pitched in to col- lect hundreds of cans for distribution of food locally. And on an individual basis whether in sculptur- ing, reading, or just thinking in classes we tried to better ourselves. ,491 NOW 3 little hazing here and there can be Representatives from each class entered fun, and there was a bit of it via the stocks the MT and MIS Ghoul COUWSY- John Sanders made for the Varsity club.
