Perhaps more than in any other recent times parents became involved in daily classroom activities. Mr. John Eichhom, for instance, spent hours setting up sev- eral display case exhibits in the Middle School. He is seen left standing next to a display evolving about the Civil War. Below is seen some of the more than 500 soldiers and warriors in miniature that he had on exhibit. In the elementary school parents and interested mem- bers of the Mothers Club helped with the reading pro- gram for youngsters in grades 1-4. Mrs. Lois Root also had library aid help on a voluntary basis from parents and other citizens of the school community. The third graders had a parent spent some time teaching them basic conver- sational French. George Doherty and Guy Doubleday were New York State Regents Scholarship winners this year. Alternates to the scholarships are Francis Bourdeau, Kevin Wil- liams and Thomas Zimmermann. George plans to attend Albany Pharmacy College and Guy plans to attend Adirondack Community College.
