We were all happy to start off our freshman year under the gui- dance of our capable advisors, Miss Caughran and Mr. Mahar. The good old science room served as our home room where the riotous class meetings were held. In order to make procedure go according to Parliment, we elected Ronny Palmer, President, Joe Shiel as Vice President, Winkie Wood as Secretary, and Vince Jowaiszas as our treasurer. We succeeded in making our freshman year a success in many ways, including our capturing of second place in inter-class sports. After succeeding in our first year of high school, we found ourselves again in the science room, with Miss Caughran as our advisor. Hoping to do equally well this year, we again elected Ronnie Palmer as our President, with Loretta Spellburg as VicePresident, Winkie Wood as Secretary and Audrey Kettner as Treasurer who guarded our pennies as they grew into dollars. This year we were more than glad to run away with first place in inter-class sports, but the dream of the day when we would arrive at Washington was becoming more and more a reality as the money which we re- ceived from the sale of candy grew in the treasury. We worked hard all year to achieve the goal, which we all had in our sights---the words on our final report cards which would read Promoted to Grade Eleven . With our goal for the present made, we advanced to the Social Studies room with Miss Woodin as our patient and helpful advisor. We elected the same people this year as we had the previous years as officers, with the exception of the new treasurer who was Donna Butler. At the Junior Store, we exchanged candy bars for greenbacks. As the year progressed, we eagerly awaited the arrival of our class rings which we conceitedly believe are the most attractive ever sported by any class anywhere. Not long after the arrival of our magnificent rings, we began work on the project of the year—the Junior Prom, which we entitled Le Sidewalk Cafe . Ronny Palmer and Loretta Spellburg were elected King and Queen respectively for the successful prom. In January '52 the political party which we supported, The White Eagles, was successful in winning a landslide, thereby gaining con- trol of the student association. Joseph Shiel. President; Cabot Hansen, VicePresident; Donna Butler, Treasurer; and Loretta Spellburg, Secretary. In our final year of school, we began our last forty weeks under the experienced leaaersnip ot Mr. Castle who thoughtfully and carefully helped us plan for our trip to Eashington, which by now was within comparatively easy reach as for the wherewithal--Oh! those needed dollars. As class officers we appointed Ronny Palmer as President, Buster Bourdeau as Vice President, and Wink Wood as Secretary, and Donna Butler as Treasurer. Through hard work we managed to obtain the sum required for our trip and as this year book goes to press, we are impatiently awaiting the remaining weeks before we leave. We are hoping to see President Eisenhower in the White House. Along with Mrs. Varney and Mr. LaRocque, who are our chaperones, we have arranged for a tour of the City of Washington and our schedule includes such places of interest as the Pentagon Building, Jefferson Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Lincoln Memorial and 7VM PAUL ALLEN leaves his Business Law cases to Paul Gibson. FRANCIS BOURDEAU leaves his athletic ability to Pete Wilson and his daily naps in Social Studies to Ed Zigler. DONNA BUTLER leaves the address of her French pen-pal to Mr. Gardner and her financial worries to Gary Bovee. GEORGE CALDWELL leaves to Gilbert Mosher all his excess Atlas strength. ALMA CENTERBAR leaves her nights home to Ida Scofield and her good times in school to any Junior. CHARLOTTE COWLES leaves her good times with the boys to Barbara Ralph. CABOT HANSEN leaves his tallness to Donny Sebald and his writing ability to Gary Bovee. JOHN HOLLAND leaves his shop ability to Charles Wyman. JOAN JOCKERS leaves her financial worries in S. C. to the highest bidder and re- turns her French book to Mr. Gardner. RAYMOND LYNCH leaves his 51 and 52 Soccer Champs to Vic Grant, his fun in class to Charles Brodell and his Cadillac to anyone who wants a wreck. RONNY PALMER leaves his Mathemetical stupidity to Dick Young and all the wild game he shot to Steve Carhart. JOE SHIEL leaves his problems as Editor of the Yearbook to next year's unlucky Editor. EDWARD SKERRETT leaves his hours of practising the clarinet to anyone who feels jazzy and his athletic ability to Paul Crossiant. LORETTA SPELLBURG leaves to Carol Hawk her cheering abUity. her smallness to Joan Johnson and some very lengthy arguments to Miss Michaud. OSCAR WILLARD leaves his ability to get along with teachers to Bob ShieL WILMA WOOD leaves her job as class Secretary to any unlucky person and to Eileen Saheim her excuses for not having her homework done.
