CLASS PRUPHEUY g a +- I EQ! i 'el 5 Th1s IS your rovmg reporter Pat K1llmon brmgmg you the on the spot report of a s1ght see1ng tour to Mars on a new rocket sh1p Card1nal Express Th1s sh1p has been des1gned by the expert eng1neermg of Chr1stopher and Long and 15 piloted by Capta1n Taylor and Co Captam Rantz Among the passengers are the famous soap box opera s1nger Mary Ann Hall world renown orator Dempsey Bruton ch1c fash1on des1gner Lou Lambden and the sc1ent1st J1m Pron1er The tr1p IS be1ng made more pleasant by the grac1ous stewardess Betty Bloxom and seemmgly before the tr1p has begun we have landed on the planet Mars We re puttmg on our oxygen masks and leavmg the sh1p very anx1ously The hous1ng development on Mars 1S new but lt 1S grow1ng very fast As we walk down ma1n street we not1ce some of Mars s most prom1s1ng enterpr1ses Starl1te Salon run by Mmes Broadwater a.nd Byrd Adams s Garage Campbell s Super Market Lang s Shave and Halr Cut Shoppe and a fasluonable dress shop operated by those Ba11ey g1rls from Horntown I see on a b1llboard where there s a thr1ll1ng stock car race tomght starrlng women dr1 vers and who should be rac1ng but my former classmates Sara Taylor and Vu' g1n1a Jordon I always thought they had a knack for rac1ng Oh where s the crowd gO1I1g9 Let s follow and see' Why here s Hurr1cane Br1tt She has Just won another trophy for rac1ng U1 her speedy boat Our Baby III Her ch1ldhoodtra1n1nghas pa1d off It s almost t1me to go back to the Shlp but we would hke to see more of Mars A we turn down Heavenly Blv we are almost knocked down by Vmcent Marmer whose Wlfe has the rollmg pm aga.1n Around a meteor rock we see a large Slgn read1ng See SW1tCh look1ng thru a telescope at Earth 1nstead of all the stars There 1SJl1St enough t1me for a qu1ck gl1mpse I am pay1ng my dollar and qu1ckly adjustmg the telescope to my Old Almer Mater A H S I see many changes that have taken place 1n 10 years Mrs JUSIICC 15 st1ll teach1ng Enghsh but I do see some new faces on the faculty Mary Jane 15 Mr JHSIIS s secretary Wrendo Mears 1S teach1ng Agmculture and 1S turmng out ace farmers Carolyn Chesser 15 teach1ng Home Econom1cs no more burnt b1scu1ts' The Card1nals are stxll the top football team and they are be1ng ably coached by Bob Sparrow The L1ttle Card1nals too are a champ1onsh1p team and I suppose all the praxse should be gxven to the1r coach the old veteran Frances Moore The school looks Sp1C a.nd span due to the wonderful care g1ven It by the Jamtor Rxck Coffm As I adm1re the beaut1ful farmlands of the Shore I can t decxde wh1ch 1S the better look1ng Matthews Manor or Bradley s Plemful Acres Sa.x1s IS st1l1 on the map' B1ll1e Marshall and Shxrley Bund1ck make pretty nurses and the cl1n1c they founded on the 1s1and has helped everyone Charles makes hxs home at Sams but he 1sn t there very often for he IS busy travel1ng w1th the R1ng11ng Bros C1rcus N t1me to see more for xt s t1me to go back to sh1p Now we re on our way aga.1n Look there IS the M1lky Way' Why I do beheve that s B1ll1e Mlles and she lS mxlkmg a cow She and her husband George have an up to date da1ry farm Ihear that Buddy Hodge del1vers the1r m1lk da1ly to Mars A n1ce set up' Now we ve arrxved at the Washmgton Axrport' It has been a wonderful tr1p but nowlhave another problem How can I cover two b1g news spots tomght both happen1ng at the same t1I1187 What are they?
