Robert C Blmey President M1ldred A Barron S ecretary Adolph I Brudzmskl Vice President Ehzabeth A Mornson Treczsu rer UUR FIRST MILE As we the Class of 42 about to go out of the gates of Haddon High for the last time as a class pause on the steps to look back at our Alma Mater We see again the past four years On one side of the gate we are a class on the other side We will be individuals How short four years are' lt seems like only yesterday that we stood Waiting for the first high to act as if Wed been around We spent all that year getting accustomed to the traditions of high school including detention and to the ec entricities of upper classmen By the time We were fully acclimated we were sophomores Now We were considered eligible tor class organization Under the energetic super vision of our class advi or Mr George Lawson we elected lack Coulter President Betty Getty Vice President Kathryn Young Treasurer and Betty Roller Secretary Since We had a treasuirer but an empty treasury We gave this problem deep thought So the refreshment booth Sophy Ioe s at the Student Body Parties was our first attempt at big business Besides this our unbeaten Freshman Sophomore football team wa be ginning to make the rest of the school take notice of us We were slowly asserting ourselves with the iuniors and seniors As usual for sophs a committee got to work in the spring to slip on every finger the symbol ol a truly organized class the symbol that We belonged our class rings I4 . . z K . 5 it ' il L , ' , , I - 9 Q , . . -2 school session to begin, the greenest of all green freshmen, vainly trying z , ' - ' : , , , . . 1 . . .
