BOARD OF EDUCATION The men who comprise the Haddon Heights Board of Education are a dedicated and hard-working assemblage of Haddon Heights civic leaders. President 'Donald Lyford and his fellow Board members devote a great deal of time, energy, and experience to maintaining and improving the Haddon Heights school system. Maior subiects discussed at this year's board meetings were the new building program and last year's evaluation of Haddon Heights High School by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools. In addition, the Board approved a Student Code of Dress and gave conditional permission for a three-day senior trip. Because of the guidance of these earnest men, Haddon Heights High School has maintained consistently high standards in scholastic achievement, facilities, and personnel. Mr. Donald Beineman, our hard-working principal, smiles as he checks his book of agenda. PRINCIPALS 5 i 1, , i ' tx I 1 l With pen in hand, our busy vice-principal, Mr. Gamble, waits readily to help a student. Mr. Donald Beineman is a graduate of Muhlen- berg College and the University of Pennsylvania, where he is currently studying for his Doctorate in Secondary School Administration. As principal, Mr. Beineman is responsible tor seeing that all segments ot the school are functioning together smoothly. Throughout the year, he devotes his time to maintain high scholastic and moral standards and works to keep student-faculty rela- tionships at their best. Our vice-principal, Mr. Alexander Gamble, re- ceived his bachelor's degree from Bucknell Uni- versity, his master's from Rutgers University, and is novv working toward his doctorate at the Uni- versity ot Pennsylvania. Mr. Gamble's position requires him to tultill a variety ot tasks. lncluded among these are assisting Mr. Beinernan, aiding individual students, handling disciplinary prob- lems, and serving as faculty adviser to the Senate. Mrs. Helen White and Miss Lillian Boone, competent secre taries to the principal, preside over the high school office.
