3 A 1, - w 1 l T? The Class of 1983 has been a very active class in the past three years. They have had many fund raisers which have made them the wealthiest class in the school's history. The most profitable fund raiser has been the candy drive, but there are other events which have helped the class gain its wealth. They include car wash-bake sales, the selling of raffle tickets, popcorn containers, magazines, and the operation of a booth at the annual Haddam Lions Club carnival. All of the money earned by past and future fund raisers will go to help the members of the Class of '83 pay for their proms and reduce the cost of ticket prices, the class trip, the senior outing, and their senior yearbooks. One of the most memorable events for the class has been the float contest. The first two years of the contest, the class has made a float and has won first prize, but this year they were unable to keep the tradition. They were able to keep one aspect of the float tradition, though: every year, the class' float has been burned and destroyed by the other classes. It just so happens this year they did it a little too soon. Another memorable event was the spirit week and field day of 1981. The class won a trophy by having the most spirit during the week and by racking up the most points in field day competition. We hope the Class of 1983 will keep up its spirit through next year. We would also like to thank advisors Mrs. Haesche and Mr. Devlin for their help and cooperation. Molly Keane, Historian, '83 Class Officers and Homeroom Representatives: K. Schreck, president, M.
