M . . . f is t Ft . 2 t f ti The Gifts Cross Country Team earned a record of four wins and five losses. The girls' hardest fought win was against Valley Fiegionat early in the season. They came from behind to defeat the in- dians by one point. Valley has been a rival for the girls, trading wins for the past four years. The win was a good start for the girls, giving them incentive for the rest of the season. The girls, being smaii in number, had to make up in strength what they did not have in. size. Unfortunately the strengths of this year's two seniors occurred at different times. Janet Carley had her strong season last year and Nancy had hers this season. Had the timing been the same, the girls could have accounted for a bet- ter record.
