Stevens, Coach Macunas. The J.V. Girls' Softball team had a very good season. tn the 14 games played this season the Cougars scored a total of 273 runs, for an average of 17 runs per game. The final record was 13-1. The season highlight for the team came on May 5th when they went up against the Devlts of Coginchaug. They en- tered the bottom half of the last inning trailing by a 7-4 margin. with one out and no one on base the Cougars erupted for 4 'runs to clinch the game.
