Well nl HE YEAR had finally arrived' We were seniors and of course we looked and acted as such After all we had had two full years to acquire the necessary qualifications and savoir faire Now our pet line to thc sophomores was We will be more than glad to sell you a pass for a nominal sumj to the elevator which takes you to the swim ming pool on the fourth floor and leads you directly to the newly corn pleted air conditioned steam baths that are adjacent to the senior smok ing lounges Sooooo many wonderful things happened in our senior year The newly elected class officers formulated plans for the senior prom senior trip to Washington senior play sen1or picnic and senior beanles Mr Emrich who after conslderable coaxing consented to direct the play asked pleaded hollered and screamed until the cast memorized the lines of T00 Many Dates But they did and the hilarious comedy was presented to 2200 people on February 19 20 and 21 heartbreakers one to the powerful St Peters of ersey City and the other to our rival feaneck on Turkey Day The soccer squad compil ing a 6 3 and l record really came into tts own thls year Many a fall afternoon the soccer Held was lined with spectators cheering our team on to victory Our band went traveling th1s year to Boston home of the T ea Party you know In March the ninety piece outfit and the eighteen ponies performed at Brookline High Massachusetts This was the first time Hackensack s band ever journeyed out of the state Laden down with gum food and fancy clothes we attacked Wash lngton Only the British were successful Here IS space for you to describe your adventures there are too many 1nd1v1dual tales of souvenir gett1ng QAnnapol1s students and of pillow fights at 2 A M Oh' Graduation is here already' Three years ago we thought it would never come Amidst hearts and flowers we say thank you to our teachers and wave good bye to our friends And to the juniors and lowly sophomores we wish you all lotsa luck and hope that your stay at Hackensack High will be as ours was the greatest three years of our ives 121 r - , - I , . ! 7 5 ' ' I 9 7 l .
