FBLA — PBL CREED I believe free education is the right of every individual. I believe the future depends upon mutual understanding and cooperation of business, industry, labor, the home, the church, the school, and by the peoples of our own and other lands. I agree to do my utmost to bring about better understanding and cooperation on the part of all these groups. I believe every individual should prepare for a useful occupation, and should carry on that occupation in a manner that will bring the greatest good to the greatest number. I believe every individual should be actively interested in better social, political, community, and family life. I believe every individual has the right to earn a living at a useful occupation and that this right should not be denied because of race, color, creed, or sex. I believe every individual should take responsibility for carrying out assigned tasks in a manner that will reflect credit to oneself, one's Mrs Baker associates, school, and community. I believe I have the responsibility to work efficiently and to think clearly, and I promise myself to use my abilities to make the world a better place for everyone. 28 OFFICERS — Rhonda, Anita. Jay. David, Darren. Keith. Jody OFFICERS — Tim. Paul. Dana. Paul. Mark. FFA CREED I believe in the future of farming, with a faith born not of words but of deeds — achievements won by the present and past generations of agriculturists; in the promise of better days through better ways, even as the better things we now enjoy have come to us from the struggles of former years. I believe that to live and work on a good farm, or to be engaged in other agricultural pursuit, is pleasant as well as challenging; for I know the joys and discomforts of agricultural life and hold an inborn fondness for those associations which, even in hours of discouragement, I cannot deny. I believe in leadership from ourselves and respect from others. I believe in my own ability to work efficiently and think clearly, with such knowledge and skills as I can secure, and in the ability of pro- gressive agriculturists to serve our own and the public interest in producing and marketing the pro- duct of our toil. I believe in less dependence on begging and more power in bargaining; in the life abundant and enough honest wealth to help make it so — for others as well as myself; in less need for charity and more of it when needed; in being happy myself and playing square with those whose happiness depends upon me. I believe that rural America can and will hold true to the best traditions of our national life and 30 that I can exert an influence in my home and community which will stand solid for my part in that in- spiring task.
