With the leadership of our fine faculty, our students enjoyed achievements such as going to the state science fair, the state social studies fair, and state literary rally. In addition, our clubs were very active with endeavors such as FFA Rodeo, Student Council Carnival, 4-H Achievement day, and others too numerous to name. All were very successful ventures. We, the faculty, staff, and student body, are proud of our school. We want to continue to have successes, and we want to improve in all areas. The recent bond issue which was a tremendous success will greatly help bring about many improvements. Without the sup- port of the people of Hackberry, none of these successes could be accomplished. I sincerely compliment and thank you, the citizens of Hack- berry. I compliment our administration, faculty, staff, and student body for a successful 1979-80 school year. I also wish to compliment the many other members of our community who have contributed in many ways toward making the 1979-80 school year successful. Everyone is urged to look to the future and to help in making every school year better than the last one. Actually, it mat- ters little what the past has been, except for the lessons we have learned from it. Our prime concern should be the nec- essary changes we must make to create a happy and suc- cessful future. Agam, I wish to express my sincere appreciation to our com- munity for honoring me with the opportunity to serve in the capacity of School Board Member. John A.
