As a student you should be involved in the school to learn your role in life as an adult. Learn how our government functions. Take pride in your school, community, state, and nation. Be an active mem ber of society. Do your share to make this natiin a better one in which to live. No doubt this country needs leaders. However, just as importantly, it needs active members who are willing to work to keep it strong. A nation is only as strong as its people. Stand up and be counted as a strong member of this wonderful nation. No one is bet- ter than you, but you are no better than anyone else until you do something to prove it. (Laird) Prove that you are worthy of respect from others. And as you prove yourself to others, the country will be proving itself to other countries. You and other members of society will be proving that the United States of America is the best. FAREWELL MESSAGE It has truly been an honor to serve the people of this fine community and to represent you on the Cameron Parish School Board. Much prog- ress has been made through the combined efforts of the school board and administration staff along with the support of the people. Kinder garten, vocational agriculture, remedial reading, special ed., speech therapy, and French have been made in to the school’s curriculum. Physi- cal improvements and additions have been made to the school plant. In addition to a good program and a fine faculty, we have been fortunate to have an outstanding facility. I have enjoyed serving as your school board member and hope that our school and community will continue to grow and prosper. 10 Mr. C.A. Just remember each time you buy a year- book you are buying something that will never let you forget all the good and bad times at HHS. Writing an editor's note .s like taking a stroll down memory lane for me. I have enjoyed every minute of my time spent at H.H.S. Now mind you, not all great times, but times to remember. This is what a good yearbook is all about I think this year, we, the Mustang Staff, have gathered togetherness, in these pages, memories to be shared by all. This has been my final year at good ole HHS so thank you fellow students, faculty and last but not least Mrs. LaFleur f« h has been a pleasure as well as a learning experience serving as co-editor of this 1977 78 school year. I would like to extend thanks to my fellow staff members. I truly feel everyone has done their part in building this wonderful treasure chest of memories. I feel if we are successful in providing you with a means of remembering the glee, agony, tenc xcitemen: that was experi Carla Frey Joni Gray enced at H.H.S. in the past school year.
