...L...e.Y RAAF! BASKETBALL Coach Werfheim, Giles, Franklin, H. Johnson, Cohen, Williams, Fanf, Griffith, Eaton. The swimming team, coached hy Mr. King, has come up with vic- tories over George Washington and Commerce, Printing, and a one- point decision with Stuyvesant. They have now such men as Moya, Whalen, Edmonds and Blum. A man of the past is John tlurlcowslci, who was one of our loest swimmers in '52 The soccer team now coached hy Mr. Phillips has an Qlympic star to its credit and he is Herhert Schaller. The soccer team was runner up to City Champs losing lay one point in the final seconds. Men now in action are Elharos and Cecil Jones. They have given good service and have shown ahility. Une who has inspired us is Shaller. The loaslcetloall team has had its ups and downs hut has always continued to fight. Though the hoopmen are handicapped compared to Franklin and Commerce, they heat N. Y. Vocational, Printing, Bronx Vocational and Manhattan Aviation. Now coached hy Wir. Vvertheim they have achieved a style not seen heiore on Haarenys loaslcethall court. The style is drihloled yip yip and hoomg Yip refers to the passes and lnoom refers to a score.
