You know ttie one, wbere we go stark mad, wtien we tind tjust like tliey all dol tbat our teactiers never taugtit ttiis stutt in class. But we settled down and proceeded to pass ttie Regents mucti to ttle amazement ot our teactiers-and ourselves. Tben we realized somettiing. We bad become Seniors. We enjoyed ttiis little ttiougtit tor the time being. It was in our Senior year ttiat ttie Broadcast fttxe tour-page information-packed scboot newspaperl went up to ttie unbelievably tiigti price ot seven cents. ln ttie next tew monttis that totlowed we were drained ot our last pennies and some ot our parents' greenbacks tor ttie Yearbook, Senior Dues, ttie Cap and Gown, ttie Ring, tbe Hat, tbe Pictures, and ttie Prom. And Senior Day at Bear Mountaint Atter being postponed on account ot rain, we spent one ot time most joyous days ot our tives at tbe Senior outing. Regents rolls around againl Again we struggle. Now itys graduation dayt We are awakened from our memories by Mrs. Dardennes, Umusic makersn talttiougtr ttiere bas been doubt about tliis statementl. VVe start our long, slow walk. Qur name is called. We tiear snitlles trom tbe audience. We marcti out ot ttle auditorium. We take one last look back, and ttien leave Haaren. Vvitti us we carry some ot our most treasured memories. We leave ttie triends we made, say our last good-bye to our teacbers and step into a new world.

For this is our night of nights and we are lost in the memo- ries of our days spent at Haaren. We recall our first year at Haaren. Vve, the hewildered little Fresh- menl How that title pierced our ears during that first year. We rememloer the day we aslced a lcindhearted senior where the Iunchroom was, and he answered in a very jovial tone, Hin the hasementf, After we found out we couldirt trust a senior, we worlced our heads olil, striving to hecome Sophomores. Our Sophomore year, a very memorahle onel Now it was our turn to confuse the Freshmen a little more than he already was. We learned what a Regents examination was. We heard the CLC. candidates plead- ing with us to vote for them. If we did, we would get dances every week. The girls would come hack. After we saw no sign of dances or girls, we decided to get out of high school as soon as possihle. So we struggled through the Sophomore year, to out at the end of the term we were now Juniors. Vvith just one more step away from heing Seniors we felt proud We had come this far. Vve went to our first Haaren dance at Julia Richman, or was it Vvashington Irving? Vvhat an imprint it left on our minds to see girls tremhling in the corner, while the hoys focused their green eyes
