Frank has fhe honor of scoring fhe mosf poinfs fallied by a Haarenife in one game fhis season, 2l. Marvin Bookbincler is fhe besf defensive player fo wear a Blue and Gold Uniform. Bookie, likes fo fake foul shofs which he does wifh greaf accuracy. H' was of much assisfance in his hiffing fhe cenfury mark. Sammy Rapaporf received cify wide acclaim for his aggressiveness and hard play, especially againsf fhe undefeafed five of Ben Franklin, before a crowd of 6,000, in Madison Square Garden. He was fied wifh leffy AI Fishman for high scoring honors by rocking fhe nefs for a fofal of I24 poinfs. One of fhe fanciesf ball-handlers you ever wanf fo see, is Haaren's soufhpaw AI Fishman. His sfylish play was responsible for many Haaren vicfories fhis season. These four lads of fhe class of June '48 really have somefhing fo be proud of. Very few high schools can boasf of having four men capable of reaching fhe cenfury mark during fhe shorf high school season. 4: 1: ar SOCCER One of fhe mosf feared boofing elemenfs in fhe cify wears fhe uniform of fhe Blue and Gold. Afler realizing +ha+ we will miss fhis place, our 'Friends and some of our leachers, we s+ar+ +o ask +he quesfions, Why? Whaf has made fhis such a pleasanf home away from home? Cer+ainly no+ +he sfudies 'for if has been a hard grind all +he way. When we, as liH'le freshies, humbly came +o whal' +o us seemed like a Palace of Mys+eries, we found no varsifiesg all we were in for was homework, schoolwork and more homework.
