Cheering is another activity supervised by the gym department. The cheerleaders hold one of the most time- consuming, yet tremendously rewarding, positions con- nected with the school activities. Not only do they lead in cheers and chants during the games but they also perform many other duties besides actual cheering. Their outside time and effort put into painting signs, planning pep rallies, and just plain practicing must be acknowl-- edged in order to give these girls the recognition due to them. They are the motivators of school spirit, a force which can almost cause a victory by itself.
