French Club Sets High Goals This year the French Club was dedicated to bettering themselves and the community. Members of the club were able to receive pen pals from locations over Europe, and became eligible for the $100 scholarship given away to the most outstanding senior in the club. The award was presented at their banquet later in the year. A student-faculty volleyball game held in the old gym which was the club’s method of raising money for its projects and helping the students enjoy themselves. 30 French Club Club president, Anne Kirch, hoped that in the years to come, the club would be able to raise enough money to travel to the ‘‘la bella’’ province of Quebec in Canada or New Orleans, home of the Mardi Gras.
