To be able to pass this course the laws, rules, and driving ability required by the State of Texas must be completely mastered. Besides a strong mind, a person entering the helter-skelter World of today needs a strong body which will hold up under stress and tension. Our health and physical education division helps build this strength of body through sports and proper exercise. Also taught is a six week's first aid course. Vocational Subiecfs Encourage Homemaking is the major ingredient in the recipe for housewife The three teachers instruct their stu- dents in cooking, sewing, interior decorating, child care, design, human relations, and etiquette. Industrial Arts cultivates manual dexterity. Leather, metal, wood, and pre-engineering drawing work helps any future craftsman. The work done in this depart- ment is not only rewarding in a pleasurable sense, but many articles are useful as gifts or as a money making enterprise. Agriculture is a stabilizing course. Presented in it are the correct facts about farm and ranch life. An interested student gains knowledge needed to follow a career in this field. F.F.A. boys try their hand in the kitchen of the Homemaking Cottage.
