FOFKEWORD EL TORO, 1953 is presented to the Student Body of Henrietta M. King High School, Kings- ville, Texas, to record some of the memories of the school year 1952-1953. The STAFF wishes to thank all those who made the production of E I.. T ORO possible: the United States Naval Auxiliary Air Station, Kingsville for providing the aerialviews of the campus,the Administration for help and advice, the members of the Faculty for their cooperation especially during the dis- ruption of classes when pictures were made, the StudentCabinetforfinancialaid,RaeburnStudios, Houston for the class and faculty pictures, the Steck Company and Mr, Alexander for their aid in publishing the book, our Sponsor,Mr. Shirley for his constant and tireless efforts, and most of all to the students, forthis is their reco rd, shadows of the past on paper to give tangible evidence that here several hundred individuals have studied, worked, played, and teamed to- gether to make our school one in which we take pride, now and forever.
