WRIGHT BRINGS NEW LEADERSHIP TO DISD Coming from an assistant superintendents posi- tion with the Houston ISD, Linus Wright assumed duties as General Superintendent in December. Of immediate concern to Mr. Wright was the top- heavy central staff which he has planned to reduce through retirement and reassignment. The students are our most important natural resource, stated Mr. Wright. We have a moral obligation to serve them to the very best of our ability. Mr. Wright felt immediately at home on Ross Avenue, and commended the 14,000 DISD employees for continuing their work without interruption.
