To H. Grady Spruce, g This year has marked the beginning of a new era for H. Grady Spruce. An era which was brought on by many changes. The ideas of many newcomers and the actions of the Administration have introduced various changes. Many minds have been drawn awayfrom the philosophies on which Spruce was founded, and the results became change. With these changes a spirit of chal- lenge has been introduced. A challenge to the Freshmen, To take these changes of your 1972 school year and use them to build your future high school years. A challenge to the Sophomores, To strive to improve the things you do not approve, yet do it with an open mind. A challenge to the juniors, To take your position as Seniors with a new determination to leave Spruce a better school because of your presence. A challenge to the Seniors, To use the influence of your years at Spruce as a means of making this world a better place. Yes, Spruce has stepped into a new dimension: that of change. The respon- sibility of this change belongs to the future student body and faculty of Spruce.
