THE PURSUITOF HAPPINESS For the past two hundred years, the American ideal has been Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. We have chosen as the theme of our yearbook, The Pursuit of Happiness. We feel this is the most important part of our past heritage and also of our future life. The greatest thing we can learn in school, or anywhere, is how to be happy. To share good times with friends and relatives is what Americans of all ages hold as one of their most pre- cious rights. 3

EDITOR’S PAGE The Notre Livrc staff has worked hard to express in our yearbook, some of the important events of our high school life. Our four years at Hoffman will soon become a part of our past and we will depend upon our yearbook to help us remember them as special ones. Because we are the graduating class of our nation's bicentennial year, we have had the responsibility to make our book something above average. I hope we have succeeded. I would like to thank the staff, all those who have helped us and especially our advisor, Mr. Poll.

Your cheerful moods and friendly smiles let us share many happy moments together.
