Carey's first year in interscholastic football can be acclaimed a success by all. The Seahawks ended the season with an impressive record of four wins and three defeats, the defeats due partly to the flu epidemic which struck the school. The coaches, Marc Martone and Felix 'Babe Gcngemi, should be given much of the credit as they took a team full of green recruits and developed a strong winning combination. Dick Postell was the outstanding player for the Seahawks despite his small stature. He scored a total of forty-nine points, an average of seven points a game. Another promising player for the team was Arnold Vesik, this year's center, who was outstanding both on offense and defense. With both of these boys returning next year, the team's prospects look very bright.
