English The obiect of the English Depart- ment is to help students to become well versed in English and related subiects. Courses offered by this department include the study of literature, both classic and mo- dern, grammar, and writing skills, all of which are important through- out the life of the student. English 81 Citizenship Education This division of the H. Frank Carey High School teaching staff gives the students a background in English and Citizenship Education, thus preparing them for the same subiects on a senior high level.

Science With engineering as important as it is today, our science department serves an important purpose, pro- viding the basic skills for our future engineers, through such courses as Chemistry, Physics and Earth Science. Not to be forgotten is Biology, an important course for all college bound students.
