H25 Plant High few Cicero's Panthers, Peter Re, Harvey Lebos, Dan Arias, Carl Zielonka, and Ronnie Alvarez prepare to begin their triumphant march to victory over the Augustan Terriers in a Roman football game. 171 xi I just canit keep it up! Pat Flynn, a Terrier captive, goes through the test of the magic circle determining that the Terriers were to be beat! Harsh captors are Bennie Kay Roberts, India Leslie, Pat Reilly, and jackie Mathis. Unquellcd Panther spirit rose and swelled, filling the night air with frenzied excitement and instilling in students the tremendous desire for victory. This rising spirit, urged on by chanting cheerleaders, was to ignite the spark that drove our team to tri- umph. Prophesies of Plant's good for- tune permeated the laughable sparkl- ing skits. The presentations, following a wide variety of themes, did their bit to add spice to the affair. Key Club copped first place honors with their Zorro presentation. A Roman foot- ball game, cleverly portrayed by the National Honor Societv, drew manv a laugh and the second lprize. Meriting a third place award was the Fine Arts Club melodrama. Prize winning clubs received their awards at the dance on the patio afterward. Students danced and made merry despite the crowded condition of the patio. Heh, heh, heh, now wc can really plaster the Terriers! Paul Cleveland and Buddy Hogan connive as Fred Hirons, Frank Meiners, and Scott Shivcler, fierce opponents of thc brave Vik- ings, are downed. Help, help me, Percy Pantherheartln Barbara Stephens screams for her hero while held captive by Hateful Harry Hillsborough, HonnieAlvarez frearl. Naturally, Pantherheart comes to the rescue, to the joy of Kandi Shaar, Judy Austin ftreel, Eileen Altier tfrontl, and Susan Howell. Page Seventeen fifwe
