SENIOR CLASS HI TORY EARL DONALDSON Presulent GINGER AKIN Secretary Play 1955 PANTHER Directors FACULTY Cast 1955 SENIOR CLASS Settzng H B PLANT HIGH SCHOOL Time 1951 1955 P oz lt was three short years ago that the band play a fanfare and the curtam opened on the flrst act of the 1955 Semor Class Most of us were merely flmld sophomore understudles who looked upward to the few classmates who had been seasoned ln the flrst and only Freshman cast at Plant However we were bold enough to express our ldeas It was then that we lnaugurated Color Day whlch has been observed annually before the Thanksglvmg football game We worshlpped the semor stars from afar whlle we served as the backstage crew At the begmmng of the second act we appeared as Junlor starlets our fame becomlng known Many of us began to take steps comlng to the front by provlng ourselves outstandmg ln leadership scholar ship character and athletlcs We mltlated the cus tom of hononng two outstanding Junxor students at thls act we saw many rmprovements staged such as the completlon of the athletic departments new dressing room The cllmax to our play unfolded when became the senlor stars We couldnt belreve that we had actually reached the helghts of stardom We found ourselves leaders of the school and all lts actlvltles Our outstandmg actors were glven Academy Awards and were plctured rn the hall of fame The first Western Conference Tltle was won by none other than our own football team Thls was the first actlve year of our Dads Stadlum wlth lts covered bleachers seating SIX thousand The spothght shone brlghtly on the 1955 graduat mg senior class The flnale took place at gradua txon trme wlth the outstanding senlor players whlte capped and serlous As the curtaln closed we found ourselves pre pared to face the world of today MISS ALICE RODRIGUEZ Sponsor BRUCE SAMSON Vzce President SYLVIA SALEMI Treasurer l : ed . xi - , . , . 3 H -Sy L A L 7 , . 1 D l. .
