SE IOR CLASS HISTORY ERNEST CASTILLO President JACKIE BARTLETT Srrretury BUCKY WILLIAMS Sgt. at Arms Three years have passed since we first entered the classrooms of Plant. Now, as we are pre- paring to leave, we begin to realize more than ever the great responsibility that faces us in the world, and we are thankful to Plant for equip- ping us with the experience and training neces- sary to meet it. During our years at Plant many new policies were introduced, tried, and proven successful. In our junior year we put on the first annual junior-Senior Prom, in which the junior Class honored the Seniors by being the arrangers, planners, and hosts for the big affair. The first Panther Prowl was introduced in our Junior year to replace the traditional bon- fire before the Thanksgiving game. In our Senior year our well-organized class went all out to help meet the expense of our Senior Banquet in a movement which became the first Senior Work Day. The most jubilant of the events in our three years happened in our Senior year when Plant defeated Hillsborough in the annual Thanks- giving game . . . a victory which had been dreamed of and worked for for eight years. For this victory we are proud of both the wonderful team and the outstanding spirit of the student body as it cheered them to win. We are proud of the number who have been recognized for their outstanding qualities by being admitted to the membership of the Na- tional Honor Society, I Dare You, and Gold and Black. In our three years we have proved our worth in all phases of high school activities. The wonderful plays our dramatic department presented, the improvements in the record of our athletic teams, the outstanding perform- ances of our chorus and band, the fine slate of activities sponsored by our various school clubs, and the better organization of our student gov- ernment show our progress in various fields.
